Darrin Skinner, General Manager
Based in Charlotte, NC, Darrin has served as General Manager of Howe & Associates since September 1999. He began his recruiting career in 1995 with Management Recruiters International (MRI) of Charlotte where he served as an Account Executive and then Assistant Manager. He led the office in billing all 4 full years of service and qualified for the MRI Corporate Pacesetters for top recruiters in the country. His entire recruiting career has been dedicated to the managed health insurance market, where he has successfully recruited for clients nationwide.
Born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana, Darrin has a B.S. in Business Administration from Wake Forest University ('95), where he was also a place kicker for the Deacon's football team. Gained experience in the insurance industry working for his father, an independent agent and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, as a licensed life and health agent after earning his insurance license at age 19. Darrin has served as a guest speaker for the Wake Forest Calloway School of Business and Accountancy and consults with local businesses on improving their recruiting functions.
In his free time, Darrin coaches boys high school basketball, sings in his church choir, and plays bass guitar in a band fronted by his brother, Drew. He also remains heavily involved in athletics, competing in football, basketball, and soccer leagues in Charlotte.
He and his wife Heather have 3 children.
